Has anyone ever removed/replaced the tanks on their unit?
I have a black tank that is no longer going to be used and I want to convert that space over to fresh water storage.
Anyone had any experience with this?
Thanks...any direcdtion much appreciated!

I hope you aren't going to use the same tank!

One thing I would consider before doing this is the resale value of the MH after the conversion.

I haven't done this, but it seems like it could be tough, as some items are "built in" and are difficult to remove without cutting through the floor or elsewhere.

Hopefully, this post will trigger more responses.

Tank Removal

Hey thanks for the reply!
Yeah resale is not really a consideration for me. Not going to be much of this thing left to resell when I am done, I don't think.
No...not planning on using the existing tank. Yeech...if I can't replace it with a new one I will just bag the idea. :-)

Why?

If removing black tank that would indicate having infrastructure to avoid the need but then why add to fresh water storage...

If for remote use with septic service and trucked in water for use as hunting cabin easy enough...

Measure and look for tank.

Space may be better suited for batteries and adding solar to roof...

If stationary many other ootiins...
