Replace or swap out PrecisionTemp Furnace/Hotwater.

I have a precision temp Twin Temp 2jr that was factory installed in my 2009 Newmar Dutchstar.

Contacted tech support and visited a tech. The electric element failed and in turn the heat exchange ruptured in the hot water tank during cold weather.

Got a price for a new tank $1400.00 and a new unit is $3500.00. Pricey little units.

Seeing as the unit is 10yrs old I am looking at options. I could replace it all together (would have lots of parts) as the labour is quite extensive to replace the tank alone.

Another option is an alternative product and that is where I am seeking some feedback on alternatives.

Look forward to some feedback.

The only other unit I know is Aqua-Hot, but they need to run a line for your tank (Diesel).

I like some of my friends do our own maintenance including when someone forgot to winterized for Colorado.
Gary, is very helpful. All you really need to know is soldering with a torch.
