Replace water valve on Dometic
97 Southwind with Dometic model RM7732, water valve to the ice maker
needs to be replaced because threads are stripped, but I can't figure out how
to remove it. There are no bolt or screw heads showing. By feeling behind
the cross member that it's mounted on, I can feel 2 heads of something, but
I can't tell what they are or how to remove them,

Here's a link to a parts list and repair manual. Looks like the valve is held in place by the supply line, but I can't be sure.
Laurelhurst Distributors Parts Breakdown - Dometic Refrigerators
According to your serial number, the valve might be a Mallory or Eaton valve. The Mallory is no longer available, but an adaptor kit is available to install an Eaton valve.
Laurelhurst Distributors Parts Breakdown - Dometic Refrigerators
page 30 shows a valve.

Thanks BFLinn181. The Mallory looks like mine, except mine doesn't have a
mounting bracket.

Thanks. Right now I'm more interested in how to get this one out, or
repair the stripped threads.

Humm, Mine came out very easy.
NOTE: Those solenoids come in only a couple of types. A hundred different price tags but really only about 4 different solenoids
Some the water flows straight through IN--Out
Some it's right angled (In the side out the bottom,or the other way around
Some have quarter inch compression inlets
Some have 3/4" garden hose inlets and generally come with an adapter so you can feed them with a quarter inch compression line.
Bracket may be on different sides.
but all of them fit.. So instead of paying arm + Leg for Dometic
Try a generic like an Amana or something. Just costs a bit of fingernail.

I wouldn't worry about the stripped threads, a new fitting, with new threads can be attached to the end of the supply line or the line from the valve to the freezer. As wa8yxm said, there are many solenoid valves that can do the job.

Thanks WA8YXM & Blinn181.
Sounds great. Where do I search for a different solenoid?

As for getting it off the Fridge..On mine it was obvious how.. I am 6'2" though You may need a ladder if you are say 5'6". Also,, The new unit will likely come with a bracket.. I had to (Carefully) drill one additional hole. (Just be careful).
