Question Replacing Black Tank

Has anyone ever replaced their black tank on their own? We have a 2004 Jayflight 29BHS & while king flushing it out came upon a clog (we think...still not sure what happened??) and our tank split right down the middle. We still have several camping trips planned for the season and the $$ the dealer wants to charge to install in addition to the timeframe just won't work for us. We have the tank on order from our Jayco dealer, and they have new sensors & fitting in stock for us to purchase.
Any tips or advice??

There was one Excel Member who had her black tank repair done by a dealer - but another Excel member did his own Gray Tank Repair. Rockintom is great with documentation - so you will find a link with photos in the thread.

Good Luck with your project...I am NOT envious!
