I saw a post about replacing my fridge with a Samsung 197 complete with photos. Can someone help me find it.
Thanks

Go to " RV systems and appliances " in the RV forums drop box.
open " Search this forum " drop box
type in " Samsung Install " hit search. that will pull up many posts on the subject.
or if you think the post may be elsewhere,
Use the search function in the blue bar under the Google ad next to your sign in welcome.

Here's how I did mine http://www.irv2.com/forums/f115/sams...er-159692.html

I also did one a couple of weeks ago in an Itasca Meridian. If you have any questions, PM me.

After our 12 year old Dometic fridge died 2 days before we were leaving on a 2 week trip down the Oregon coast, we looked at the various options. Our rig doesn't have an inverter, so there's no 115 ac when we're driving unless we have the generator running.

In the end, we bit the bullet and had a new Dometic installed (almost $1800!). We got one that actually has an adjustable temperature control, which the old one lacked. I find it very arrogant that a refrigerator manufacture can say "We know what temperature your food should be stored at and we won't let you change it."

Maybe there's another 12 years life in the new one, but it probably won't benefit us until we sell the rig.

I can say without question, that having to park a 32' class A in small-town Oregon Coast grocery store parking lots on a daily basis to buy ice is worth the $1800 to avoid it!
