Wondering if anyone has replaced the cheap corrugated plastic drain hose coming out of the back or your refrigerator and draining through the outside vent? I have a Dometic two door fridge that is only 4 1/2 years old and the drain hose is so dried out it just keeps crumbling apart shorter and shorter. It goes up inside the back and out of sight. I'm wondering if the only way to replace it is to bring out the fridge from the inside to get to the top of the drain hose. Anyone done this repair?

You will have to pull the refrigerator out in order to get to the connection point of the drain pan. I have used neoprene tubing with good results, just don't get it too close to the heat source and put a small dip near the end for a vapor trap.

Thanks Mike, I'm off to buy some tubing and I'll keep you posted how it goes.
