Question Replacing the air conditioner with a skylight

Howdy Gang
A little background, we're full time boondockers, winter in S.W. Florida, summer in the Catskills. In four years, we've never used the AC and don't plan on it. We're not concerned with the lack of AC effecting resale as it's a dedicated off grid rig and we don't plan on selling anytime soon...
Anyway, I'd like to lose the weight and gain more natural light inside the rig. The AC opening is a standard 14x14 inch hole. I know that I could drop a standard vent in. We already have three fantastic fans and would like more light as opposed to more ventilation. What's the best way to get a bigger skylight up there? Also, who is a good source for the new skylight? Whilst I'm up there I'm going to replace the skylight in the shower as well, our rig is a '06 and the BR skylight is yellowed and getting brittle.
Many thanks...

I understand your desire for more skylight. I have a dark cover over our "fantastic fan" and am thinking of chucking it in favour of a transparent one. Let us know how you make out. Removing the AC is a big move, but I understand. Once it's out you may be able to see how much bigger you can make the hole and adapt a residential skylight to fit.

I'm not thinking of a residential skylight. More on the lines of the one I have in the shower. Any help along those lines would be great!
