Has anyone replaced their thermonstat on their water heater? I have a 10 gallon Atwood gas/electronic model and my thermonstat needs replacing. I will also replace the ECO. It looks like I may have to pull the tank out. Any ideas will be helpfull, thanks.

You should be able to change both the ECO and operating T'stat through the outside panel. Turn off unit, unplug the harness from the control board and you will find a thermal fuse in-cased in a clear neoprene tubbing. Follow this to the thermostat connections behind a closed cell foam cover. The thermostat kit will contain the ECO, operating thermostat and a new cover. Take a close look at how these are installed as it can be trick if you have never done them before. The object is to get the spring to put tension so that the face of t'stat is pressed up against tank to sense the temperature properly. Good luck and keep us posted.

Thanks again, Lloyd.
