Residential fridge will not start

We have a 2011 Monaco with a Fridgedaire residential fridge , had it parked for a while with the fridge turned off. Went to take it out and the fridge won't start. The front control panel does not light up and there is power to the plug. Anyone have a similar problem.

What you are saying is that you have confirmed that the outlet, that you plug it into, has power, correct?

I would get an extension cord and plug it into the house, anyway, just to eliminate the whole MH.

If your handy, you could pull off the cover, to see if a wire came undone, where the power cord goes in to the fridge.

Are you saying you took a meter and read voltage(120VAC) at the outlet the fridge is plugged into? If so, try and find the wiring schematic for the fridge, usually inside the front louvers on the bottom front of the fridge and see if you can locate where the power source goes when it enters the fridge.........control board I suppose?

My Norcold never did that.

I have plugged the fridge via extension cord to an outlet and still no power to the fridge control panel. I have checked the voltage at the plug and it is 120 volts. I will see if I can check the fridge cord attachment tomorrow.

Had the Fridgedaire repair man out. The control board is underneath the front grill. Water had got in there and shorted out the board($440.00). Ordered a new one will be 10 days.

Part number 5303918563? One in stock a couple of miles away, you don't want to know the price.

If this is the part Frigidaire 5303918563 Board-Switch - AppliancePartsPros.com then I thought the markup a little excessive. I was surprised about the 10 day ordering window when my local supplier has them in stock. That's a long time for a reefer to be down.

Twinboat, I like your sense of humor
