Residential/inverter question

I just installed a GE fridge in my 2004 Revolution. Love it.
Only made 1 trip so far and it worked great.
it is not setup on my inverter. I run the generator occasionally while on the road. Worked fine.

Question
My inverter is a Xantrex MSW. GE has no opinion if it will run on MSW.
To test it, will it cause any damage if I connect it to my inverter?
I'm not concerned about battery life as I'll probably only use inverter while underway.

It could cause damage. Is the refrigerator a new model that perhaps has a 12 v transformer? Is the compressor a multiple speed model that spins up slowly? Perhaps if you post model # of your GE fridge someone on here will know or have experience with one on modified sine wave power. All modified sine waves aren't the same, some can be 'stepped' others are much more abrupt. That also can make a difference.
