Residential refrigerator ice machine

We have a GE bottom freezer residential refrigerator. It has a water dispenser and an ice machine. Water dispenser works fine. I can't get the ice machine to make ice. Any suggestions on what to look for?

Welcome to the forum.
Starting simple here. Is the wire feeler above bin in the correct position for making ice?

I'll have to look. The coach is in storage while we're home. Thanks for the idea. I don't know why I didn't think of it earlier. Can't see the machine easily...it's in a bottom freezer. Simple fix, tho, for sure!

There is an arm underneath the machine but it doesn't seem to do anything. When you move it it doesn't stay in any other place.

Well ours is a Whirlpool but similar style (drawer freezer) that SS arm gently pushes to the right and up into a notch to stop ice production. Flipped down it sweeps periodically during operation to sense bin level. YMMV.

If the refrigerator is new, or has been winterized, it can take several days for the water to flow through the line in to the icemaker.

Thanks for the good report, was there a charge?
How did they correct the problem, motor module?
Inquiring minds want to know?

Beat that heat and camp on, dog-days be gone.
