RM760 Refrigerator Top Works, Bottom Doesn't

I have an RM760 refrigerator in my Pace Arrow 1979. Recently I switched from 120VAC to Propane to test out whether propane worked correctly...and upon doing so, the bottom-half of the unit has stopped getting cold. Not a single degree of cool. Top works wonderful. I took it out of the RV and hooked it up to an outlet, same. The back is very hot, those coils... What should I do? Painted grills (out-side back of unit) is peeling, probably will remove that but I dunno... Oh inside grills don't get cold at all. :( Wondering where I might could get a light cover too, burnt myself a few times on it. I am probably pushing 13 - 14V through from the RV batteries (1000CCA 240AH X 3). Had it on battery I believe for oh, 6 or 7 months?

Greatly appreciate any help.

It sounds like you now have a problem with the cooling unit. Whether, it has a leak and now only has enough refrigerant in the system to only pull down the primary coil (freezer) or the system has a restriction between primary and secondary coils; a replacement cooling unit would need to be installed at the least. I would recommend you bite the bullet if you are going to keep the coach a while and just replace the whole refrigerator. Good luck, stay safe and keep us posted.

I obtained a PDF manual for the RM760 and noticed that sometimes if not level the coolant (if I read correctly) can somewhat separate or form pockets and will not 'mix' back unless the refrigerator is taken out, turned upside down and left a moment or two. Ain't got anything to lose, I'll try it out and give to the best of my knowledge and this manual a looking-over to see if it is okay. Will post-back on detailed follow-up.
