I am in the market for a system to evacuate my holding tanks and pump the waste about 50'.
I have identified 2 products that will probably do the job: RV Sani-con @ $550.00 and FloJet RV Waste Pump Kit @ $219.00 + $40.00 for a 75 foot 3/4" hose from Lowe's.
Does anyone have any comparison experience on the two products? Seems that the Sani-Con is awfully pricey while it does esentially the same job? It does have a grey water flo thru but that alone surely could not make the price double.. Comments???

Chief, good question! Although, I do not know the answer; i suspect that we might have a member that has had an occasion to have made the comparison. Hang in here and lets see if we can get some good responses.

If you read the difference in systems LINK the cheaper one would be good for short distance the more expensive will pump a longer distance with a larger outlet hose and really grind up any solids. The cheaper one may fit in dump bay larger one may need short 3" hose to it.

I am not sure that $550 is a realistic price for the Sanicon.... it may be available cheaper than that. I have had mine a year and have been extremely pleased with this product. Send me a PM and I will tell you the price and source, if it is still available.

Cheif, Both of the machines you mentioned I am sure will do the job for they are both good products. I was the former General Manager of RV Sani-Con before the company sold & I have started my own company. The gray water bypass is a patented on the RV Sani-Con & no one else can make that portion of the machine.Good luck with your purchase once you decide which is best for you. TAP

For TAP,
I have an original RV Sani-Con system which has performed very well. But recently the bayonet, Part that attaches to sewage outlet of RV, broke. One of the ears tore off.
The Thetford units no longer use the same kind of bayonet and gray water by-pass.
I have been unable to find a bayonet with water hose connection which my unit uses.
Any suggestions?
We like the gray water bypass for using the washer in the motor home.
Thanks,
JulL
