(And as a side note: I wish I had run into your advice earlier. I did a ton of research to find the part number that you already had posted. Glad to see this information is getting around.)

It is held on with a rivet. I drilled the rivet out on ours; but the clip is soft aluminum, so you could just cut it off.
The biggest problem I had was the foam liner behind the plastic cover at the back of the fridge was frozen into the ice at the bottom of the cooling coils. I broke a small piece of foam off, but was able to tape it back on with low-temp aluminum duct tape. Keeping the foam intact is important because it is used to direct air flow over the cooling coils and into the refrigerator compartment.

bobmac & paz,
Thank you guys very much for the info. My new drain clips should arrive soon and I will make the change as you suggest.
(I wish I had run into this thread sooner. This is an on-going discussion over at the Monaco Owners segment of irv2 and no one there seemed to know the part number of the clip. I found it thanks to a photo by Dr4Film. But, you guys had already identified the part number long ago. I obviously need to check these other forums as well.)
Anyway, all is good and thank you for giving me the last piece of the "puzzle" on how to replace it.
Bob

I think the correct answer is "nope".
Samsung has yet to acknowledge the problem.

Thanks! not what I wanted to hear, but I must face the facts. Before I install it I will take it apart and see what is in there. Is there a positive way of telling if it has been changed?
Is there a big difference in the way it looks?
Thanks

Thanks Richard.
So I take it, that it's the metal clip thing in the center of each picture.

Yup! The dark colored rod is the heater coil. Everything else that is shiny aluminum are parts of the cooling coils.

My 197 that was delivered a week or so ago does not have the newer larger clip. There are only three screws to remove the cover to look at that part of the refrgerator so it is easy enough to check.

Thanks. Think I will go back and find the part number and just order it.

Now are there any part timers that turn off their refrigerator while their MH is in storage?

We turn our fridge off whenever we move out of the coach. We leave the doors open.
When I installed our fridge, I put a light switch in the front of the cupboard to supply power to the fridge. I found a switch that has a red LED in the switch so we can tell when the power is on to the fridge.

Hello Jim
Thanks for the info. Switch that's something I didn't think
Is it a special switch to handle the amp draw?

OK. I had no problem removing the refrigerator clip, thanks to bobmac and paz. (I started with the diagonal cutters, but ended up drilling out the rivet.)
But, the freezer cover seems to be hung up on the ice maker. Before I give it a yank, I thought I should check and see if I need to remove the ice maker to get to the back evaporator, or does it just slide out?
Thanks in advance for your help on this.
