Sani-Con Hoses?

I have a Sani-Con Tank Buddy (the one that twists on, and stores in a tool box) that I found cheap on ebay last year, new in box from a guy that had sold his RV. Anyway this is the version with the 21 ft expanding hose, which I have seen many failure reports about online with them developing pin holes. So I was wondering has anyone fitted a conventional non-expanding hose to one of these units, if so did you use Thetfords 10 foot hose kit, or something else?

I ask because I have a trip planned in a couple of months where I will need to dump to a point that is elevated about 8-12 inches above ground level.

They get pin holes from dragging across the ground. I covered mine with a protective sleeve...copied from someone on here.

Amazon stuff....Wang-Data 1 1/2 inch protective sleeve. Way cheaper than a new hose.

Been using mine for two years now fulltime. No leaks yet. Mine is permanently installed.
