Servicing a Generac Quiet pact 55g generator

Hi folks,

Is this something I can so myself or would it be better to get it done by a Profesional?

Thanks,

Stephen

I would if it gave me problems. It's got just about 500 hours on it, so I do need to see if it needs a valve adjustment yet.

I have changed the oil and filter if that's what you mean. Its simple, just slow to get all the way full.

As long as you don't need to pull it out of the coach to get to what ever needs attention serving and prime mover side of a gas generator is the same as a riding lawn mower. More than likely the motor is a Briggs & Stratton so there's a lot of information available concerning how to do the various maintenance items. And if you have to search out profession help the small engine techs at the local lawn mover repair shop might be a better choice than a distance RV service center.

And do remember, home made baked goods are always welcomed in the shop.

Thanks Sweetbriar,

My local truck shop said they could service it but I could also try it myself.
