I installed a Shurflo Gold Series power vent fan in October 2010. Seemed to work fine for a couple of months, about 2 months later it started making a chirping noise that changed with fan speed. Now the fan barely stays running. I called Shurflo and they seemed nice. I explained the concern and they said they are shipping a motor and controller for it. I guess that's good, no questions asked concerning proof of ownership. Although I am concerned that this may be a common problem with this model? or am I just paranoid and should not worry about it. Thinking I should have installed a Fantastic fan.
Anybody else have a problem with their Shurflo fan?

Well, judging by the number of replies to my question I guess no one else here has had a problem with the Shurflo power vent. (if anyone has one)
I will say that the customer service was excellent. They shipped 2 parts to me in a timely fashion at no charge to me. I installed the fan motor first because it was easier to replace then the variable speed controller. I spun the fan motor and compared the sound. The old motor definitely sounded bad.
I put it all back together with the new motor and it runs great. I guess there is nothing wrong with the controller, but at least I have an extra one if it ever goes bad.

OK one more post and I will let this thread die.
Two weeks after replacing the fan motor it is starting to make the same noise again
Found a tag on the motor says "made in China" buyer beware.
