SHURflo Revolution Install Tips

On several recent camping trips a few fellow campers have the SHURflo 4008-101-E65 Revolution. It is very quiet compared to my current pump and I think it would be a nice, simple upgrade.

I am wondering if anyone that has installed one of these has any tips to make this an easy switch out? Should I use Teflon tape on the in-line strainer? I purchased the pump and the 255-313 strainer.

Links to my purchases just in case someone else has an interest:

No need for Teflon tape on the strainer to pump fitting. The other hose or pipe fitting should not need any either.

I did the install yesterday and made a quick video for anyone that wants a reference of the install. It was easy, inexpensive and a nice upgrade.
