Slide seal

Buddy of mine and I stopped to look at an older National Sea Breeze that looked to be in pretty good condition. One thing I noticed when walking around was under the main slide, the seal looked like it had rolled under the slide as it was going in, and failed to roll back out. Along the bottom wall you could see where the slide seal should have been attached, and was pulled off, but still attached in the corners. I should have taken a picture.

I didn't know what to tell him. Is this a big deal to fix? It is common?

Just yesterday noticed the very same thing on our main slide. Cannot answer your question but am looking forward to other replies.
