I am looking for information on obtaining a solar panel controller for my dry dock camping. I have a 12 volt, 36 watt, 4 amp solar panel that was given to me. I understand I need a controller to help regulate the charging of the battery. Any information on what size or type of controller would be very helpful. As of right now, I do not plan to add any more panels or additional items for the solar system.
Any Help would be appreciated.

Your solar panel will not put out enough power to worry with trying to control it.

Thanks for the info. We dont use it very often, but it would be nice to know about if if we ever need to use it. I did see some very inexpensive controllers ($20.00), should we get one of these or just manually control it by removing it when not in use?

You could install and leave it on as long as it has a diode in-line to prevent back feed when solar panel is in the dark.
