I am having a truck camper built and will be using a solar system with these components. Prosine 2000, BlueSky SB2000 controller, 3 Kyocera 80w panels and (4) 6 volt batteries.

I have chosen the Kyocera over others due to their physical dimensions as roof space is limited.

I may add 1 or 2 panel(s) in the future depending on need.

Can you suggest the best approach in terms of wire connections (MC/J box?) and wire sizes to make future expansion and system efficiency work the best. I am new to solar and have a limited knowledge of electronics.

The camper builder will be doing the installation and I'd like to be sure that all components and electrical is done allowing for both future expansion without re-doing work, and wire gauges and connectors etc are done correctly.

Thx.

I used 10 guage wire from the panels to a splice, where it is connected to 6 guage wire to the solar controller. Bigger wire is always better if you can physically get it installed. See link in my sig for more info.
