I replaced a valve (#116103074) on 9/27/06 when it would fill and empty and not go through the cycles. Now it has started to stop between the cycle and the rinse and will not go into spin on any of the 3 types of cycles. The drum stops before it will empty and the door will not unlock.
Any ideas on how to get my wet cloths out with out having to pull the washer out of the cabinet and remove the top? Ideas on what might be causing it to this?
Update
I drained the machine through the lint tarp after going to Splendide site for ideas. There was very little lint in the trap after 2 years but while draining it started to spin. I turned it off and finished draining to get the trap out and now it is spinning so I will dry this load and the wet towels used while draining. Then I will cycle an empty load with no detergent and see how it does. I did notice that there was a blue tint to the water from the fabric softener so it looks like it did not drain any of the water.
Ideas?
Paul

Paul, it does sound like the unit is not able to pump out. If it does not pump the water out it will not spin. This can be caused by a kinked drain hose, a bad pump or something restricting the flow into the pump. Once you get all the water out you will have to pull the machine out of the cabinet to diagnose. If you find the drain hose was kinked you may get luck and try with a little water in and the see if it will pump it out. IF the hose was not kinked, I would check to be sure nothing is restricting water into the pump. Pull the hose off the inlet side of the pump. Be sure to check the drum side as well as the pump side. I this is clear then it has to be the pump. You can get parts through Westland. Good luck and keep us posted.

Update
After it stopped spinning it actually added water and made more suds so I never did get to dry. The drain hose is in the wall and is not kinked. My best guess is the pump guess I will need to take it apart and check the pump.

Updated update.
I will be leaving town and did not want to go off and leave the washer full of water so I drained it again, the plastic tub that Sam's Club sells oatmeal and chocolate chunk cookies fits just under the door and is great to keep from spilling water on the floor. I then set it to the spin cycle on the regular cycle. I could hear the pump working so I got curious and set it to the wool cycle and it did fill and drain the tank. It has healed itself! Just a guess but what ever was keeping it from working have dislodged or fix the circuit. Going to try the delicate cycle that I use all the time and see if it works. Fingers crossed.

Update 1/18/09
I just tried to run a small load of 2 pairs of jean shorts it made it to the rinse cycle and stopped. I moved it to the rinse cycle and it stopped at the spin cycle and would do nothing but it now had more water in it. I drained the water through the strainer trap and set it to spin and it finished the cycle.
Now the question what has failed or works intermittently to allow the washer to fill (or over fill) and not to drain and spin. As a side note the last time I was home 12/17 I did 4 loads keeping then small and had no problem.
Thanks Paul

Call Splendide (Westland Sales)Tech Support and they will walk you through the diagnosis. They are very helpful. You can buy parts direct if you want too.

After draining it I have done 3 loads with no problems. I guess it just likes attention.

There is a condition called suds locking the pump but you would probably have mentioned this over sudsing. You could also have a foreign object like a piece of plastic that could be floating and be sucked down to block of the drain port on some loads and not be in the way on others.
What did you find when you drained the washer?

We have the WD2000S model. Its about 1 1/2 years old and all of the white plastic tumblers inside the drum have fallen out. The plastic tabs broke on all of them. I sent a email today to Westland sales. Have not heard back yet.

I think you have the right idea. But I think it was the fabric conditioner that I added to the small tray. When I drained the water it was blue, the same color as the conditioner so I have started to use very little of it and less of liquid soap. When I returned this time I ran the spin cycle with the drum empty and then the rinse cycle to the end and was ok so I ran a delicates cycle through with no problems. Now I just ran a full cycle and every think is ok. Use very little soap and conditioner in a small washer, less is more.
offshore mine is a 1999 or 2000 model year and the bars in the drum are metal.

Paul, yes, less is more with these small washers and if you have soft water it is even more critical. I also recommend diluting the fabric softener so that it is thinner in the dispenser. This help to prevent build up as the undiluted will do.
