Could the vent hose be smashed shut or kinked? We have the Splendide 2100XC model. The parts manual shows the only "lint filter" is built into the pump inlet. It does not actually catch lint, that is expelled with waste water. That "lint filter" is actually to catch large objects that might damage the pump, coins, etc.
Locate the pdf file for your model washer combo and download the parts and service manual to remove any guesswork from working with your unit.

In the future if anyone needs a Splendide service manual, they are all here:

Splendide Combo Washer Dryer Technical Education Site

It's a link which is "hidden" and cannot be accessed from the main Splendide website.

I just got off the phone with Darryl in tech support at Splendide. I gave him my model and serial number. He says that it definitely does NOT have the lint filter on the back! He said that all of the lint filters were attached to the duct on the back and then the hose to the outside vent attached to the filter. He advised that anyone having one of the filters remove it and attach the hose directly to the duct on the W/D, that the units need all the airflow they can get without the restriction of the lint filter!

Well I guess that would solve my problem, if I had trouble cleaning my filter, but it doesn't solve your original problem since you don't have a filter. Back to square 1.

Our DSDP originally had a W/D set up but it was removed by the previous owner. When we had our new stacked W/D installed we ran into the following symptoms.

1. Took FOREVER to dry anything.
2. Moister built up on the dryer door glass.
3. Water was dripping out of the dryer!
4. Little air flow out of outdoor vent.

Needless to say...panic button time!

Solution...

We first tried to rotor-rooter the air duct and that seemed to help but in the process we discovered that the vent hose had a bend in it like a plumbing trap!

We had to pull the dryer out (not that big of a deal) and then replaced all the old dryer vent hose with new one. When we pulled the old one out the bent section was full of wet lint. Of course we made sure to avoid any big bends in the route of the dryer bent hose.

Now it works GREAT!

BTW...our W/D is NOT located next to an outer wall. We used 8' of dryer hose to get from the dryer to outside vent.

I have a 2002 Windsor and the "only" filter is in front.
The manual shows an "optional" filter on the back of the
machine just by the exhaust hose.
The only filter that collects lint is the water filter in front..

Sounds like you have an accumulation of lint in the outer
tub. This happens faster if dryer sheets are used, but
happens anyhow depending on how ofter it is used.
There is a protocol from Splendide, and you should call
them again and ask for the details. I have had a similar
problem and it was cured. It involves filling the machine
with water over half way up the glass and then running
it. Repeated three times.
I don't have the details, but Splendide does.
Good luck

Thanks! I'll call them today! Was there any air coming out of your outside vent while drying?

I have the Splendide 2000 S. I just got off the phone with the Manufacturer Technician and learned a lot from him.
1st the Heat is about 1300 Watts, the equivalent of a hair dryer. So, based on distance of blower, dampness of articles, amount of articles, it’s gonna take a bit to dry more or less.
The 2000 s doesn’t have a lint trap anywhere on the unit. Any lint blows out of the vent tube exclusively.
Regardless of what anyone tells you, this company does not make a gas unit ! All electric.
They DO NOT sell ANY PARTS for the 2000s period ! You’ll have to source them outside.

Now, you can "Reset" the unit also.

Turn the right Dial to the 8:00 position where you’ll see "RESET". You’ll see reset in two or three places on the right dial but, this was the one the tech said use.

Once you’re on "Reset", Door Closed. Turn on the Unit like normal. The left light will be SOLID RED. The right light will flicker a few times and then watch for about 10 SOLID FLASHED. It can be more but, 10 SOLID FLASHES is about 10 seconds.

This resets the board inside. If you need to stop your unit for any reason in the middle of a cycle, turn the unit off and follow the recent directions I gave above. Now be mindful that once you start the unit back up, it’s going to reset on either the wash cycle where it was or on the drying cycle where you want it to be. I don’t have much more information of any great use, but I thought this might help anybody with any issues other than replacing actual parts which from what I found can be sourced on the Internet, not necessarily through the manufacturer.

The tech was AMAZING and answered a ton of questions for me. A new unit on Amazon is about $1300 to $2500.

If anyone has bought any other brand and it was affordable, let me know so I can put back money as mine is around 20 years old now in a 2005 Horizon Itasca 40 AD

What is very poorly understood in the RV community is that any dryer operating on 115 voltas on a 20A circuit will dry clothes 3-4x slower than a residential dryer operating on 240V at 30-40A. That's simply physics! It doesn't matter if you have stacked washer/dryer or a combo. Yes, the Splendide dries slowly but we're not in a hurry; it can run all day if necessary without bothering us.

The other thing that people failr to understand about combo units is that they can wash significantly more clothes than they can dry effectively. This is stated in the user guide, but it appears that few bother to read it. We usually hang up some clothes on clothes rods that we've placed in the shower. This reduces the weight of clothes being dryed in the dyrer.

Update on My Dryer issue with the 2000 S

Tonight Friday July 7th I went on Amazon and bought a portable HOMCOM Compact Laundry Dryer Machine / 1300 Watt, 3.22 Cu. Ft. Electric automatic portable $269.99 with a three yr extended warranty for $49.95
All in I spent about $290.00 all in. It’ll be here between the 12th-14th of this month. It weighs about 50 lbs and can be set on the floor or wall mounted. My washer still works so, I’m going to use it till it quits ! I have a space above the washer where a TV is soon to be gone and dryer placed up there.
It’s about 69 decibels which is a normal conversation from 3 feet away. Later on I’ll drop about $200 or so and get the 20 lb cap washer and be under $500 total investment.

When my combo unit stopped drying , a close examination of the vent ; flex connection ; from the drum to the rear of the unit reviled a tennis ball sized lint ball .
Cleaning the vent flex is now on my two year maintenance list.
