Gary...and all,
If you haven't had a lint clog in your Splendide vented dryer and you are using it often...the time will soon come when it's your turn to remove the Splendide unit from it's tight little home in your rig's cabinetry then remove the top and back of the machine and start digging around for the source of your airflow blockage. So much for Splendide's lint-less process for drying clothes.
We have the Splendide 2000S in our 2005 Monaco Diplomat and have been experiencing longer and longer drying times until the darn thing just wouldn't dry at all...! After following the troubleshooting hints from our friends at IRV2 and Splendide's splendid and willing tech help...(really!) to no avail we pulled the darn thing out. Not easy..but doable! We found a dried lint dam completely blocking the black rubber housing just inside the back of the washer/dryer cabinet where the dryer vent hose is attached. We removed the lint dam, replaced the 5 year old rubber hoses (suggested by Splendide's FAQ page) and turned her on and there is once again air surging out of the exhaust vent on the Diplomats exterior. Yee haw...!
Digital pictures available but darned if I know how to post them.
