Turn the braker off that includes the on board battery charger and the generator will run the splendide just fine. You may have to run your fridge on propane while the braker is off. My braker was labeled Refridg/Converter.

Seems that the Converter / Battery charger feeds back an uneven power signal that the Splendide does not like.

10 Hours of resurch and $1300.00 plus got me this understanding.

Oh well, Wife likes the washer and if she's happy so am I.

Enjoy!

RV gremlins really do exist!

This gremlin is a phenomenon referred to as a "fifth harmonic feed-back."

Splendide spent a whole lot more money than Jbmsr did to find out what it was. Their 'fix' has been incorporated into the newer model washers.

Besides upgrading to a new washer, Jbmsr's fix is the only, albeit temporary, remedy for stoping this harmonic when using a Splendide while on generator power. (My guess - an off frequency (other than dead-on 60H) output of a genset affects a converter/charger in such a way as to cause the fifth harmonic.)

Besides the problem above, when first plugging into shorepower, this freaky fifth harmonic will also give Progressive Industries' Electrical Management System a momentary, false "High Frequency" reading (E-7 Code). (BTW - This has only been observed in RVs with inverter/chargers. When first plugged in, the charger automatically goes to max output and the harmonic may show up momentarily - resulting in the false reading.)

So far, these are the only two things that I am aware of that are affected by this harmonic.

Hope this helps.
