Splendide Washer noise question

I have a Splendid Aristin stacked washer and dryer. My washer is making a growling sound when it goes to the spin cycle. Has anyone came across this problem and is it a easy fix?

washer

I turned off the washer because I did not want to do anymore damage and the washer is still full of water and the door will not open.

The water pump that comes on to drain the tub prior to spinning makes a growling sound when it is draining on my Aristin washer. Been that way since it was new. I would try a drain/spin cycle and see what happens.

10 years old and it just started and did not make any sounds at all. It sounds like metal grinding.

Suggest you call Westland Sales Tech Support. Go to www.splendide.com for full info. Westland is the US distributor/ support for Splendide/Ariston. Their tech people are quite good and very helpful.
First order of business is to get the water drained safely. Westland will be able to talk you through some troubleshooting and advise on your best next move.
