stay awhile valve
have a stay awhile valve installed and connected to 30# tank. Before turning on the tank, do I turn off the master valve on motorhome tank?

Yes, otherwise it will back feed into the other tank.

I have not heard the phrase "stay awhile valve" so what is it and what does it do?
Thanks

Okay, I'm looking at it. I do not see a "valve handle" and I believe the picture is "too close" to give an overall view of what it is supposed to do.

The valve in question is the the thirty pound tanks valve and the master valve referred to would be the hand valve mounted on the RV tank

The valve pictured above goes between your tank (left) and your regulator (right) and allows you to attach either a grill (or other appliance) to the output (large fitting on top) or a high pressure hose from an auxiliary LP tank to the input (small fitting in front). Schrader-type valves in the outlet and inlet prevent LP from escaping when a hose is not connected.

They are also known as " extend-a-stay" valves.
