Step Motor cycles on/off

The step motor in my Travel Supreme 42DS04 Moves in and out OK. At the end of travel the motor stops and starts a few times before finally stopping. I believe that the shut off is an internal function of the motor and therefore needs replacement. Am I correct in that?

Here is a link to their diagnostic video . I haven't viewed it but it may answer your question. If not , the techs at Power Gear ( kwikee ) are very responsive to email inquiries. Their address is info@powergearus.com . If you send them one , you'll have an answer Monday morning.

Thanks, I did go through the trouble shooting procedures in the manual and all checks out as the video states. That's why I thought that it must be in the motor itself. I'll drop an e-mail and see what they say.

Sounds like the adjustment cams moved/slipped a tad, causing the motor to cycle until the amp draw reaches the shut-off limit.

Thanks, I'll check that when I get back to work on the coach. Since it cycles on both in an out directions I'm not sure how that would affect the retract cycle.
