Steps won't come out

The steps on our 2003 HR Endeavor will not come out when door opens. Checked the fuses and they were good. Suggestions? Thanks.

Dan,
This may be a stupid response, but is there a cut off switch near door that keeps the steps out (or in) when you are parked so that they don't go in and out when opening and closing the door?
Just a thought?!

Yes, there is a switch beside the door but it is in the ON position.

The ground wire is a usual suspect. Remove it from the chassis and clean the contacts and re tighten.

Another question might or might not be dumb. Do you have the chassis battery turned off? This powers the steps.

Started the MH and let it run a few minutes. Tapped magnetic switch with a hammer. Now steps work fine Not sure why it worked but glad it did. Heading out for a long Memorial Day Weekend. Thanks for all your help.

I'd have the tools handy to remove the switch and clean the contacts.

I am having the same problem with a 2011 Serrano. Run the MH and the steps work again.

We are back to square one. Steps didn't come out today. Started MH but no luck. What now?
