If the thermostat is calling for heat, and the blower motor has power - the motor should not be quiting/shutting off? It should run until the t-stat is satisfied or it runs out of power whichever comes first - no mater if the burner is running or not?
The sail switch proves to the rest of the system that the blower is turning fast enough to prevent overheating should the burner ignite. It can't posible cause the blower to quit.
The furnace needs to be removed from it's case to access any of it's parts, and the outside vent must be removed prior to pulling the furnace.
