surburan furnace problem

Hello,
My surburan furnace works fine except that, often, the fan just keeps blowing forever after the heat turns off and the heat never trys to turn back on. When this happens, the only way to get it back to normal is to turn the thermostat off or lower the temp setting untill the blower turns off. After this, it will usually work okay untill the next time it happens.
Any ideas?

Thanks

Welcome danite to irv2.
Your furnace may need some cleaning.
The flame sensor that is over the burner tube may have a carbon build up that has to be cleaned off. The burner chimney may have rust falling down on burner tube slots that has to be cleaned out with vacuum after gently tapping side of chimney so rust falls down. Place a paper towel over burner tube slots so rust does not fall in slots then vacuum out of burner area.
There is a screw to remove burner base shield to gain access.
Check the stickies above for more info.

Thanks for the reply
I have been suspecting the flame sensor. But now sence my last post the furnace has quit heating completly and the fan comes on and stays on. I'll just have to dig it to it. My wife and I live in our motor home full time and the furnace has kept us warm all winter.

Thanks 007
