OK, it has been talked a lot about and I read quite a bit about it. But - I want to wire it prior to the generator but also want it where it will be safe. I am not getting the one that plugs into the pedestal. That said does it wire at the point of going into the MH before it goes into the switch? Or do I have to mount it in the electrical compartment on the opposite side of the "in"?
Planed purchase of a TRC Surge Guard 50a hardwire.

If you want to monitor both shore power and gnerator you will install it after the transfer switch at the power output going to the distribution panel(s) inside the coach. If you only want to monitor shore power then install it on the power cord before the transfer switch. Good luck and be safe.

Thank a million that sums it up great. Pictures are worth a lot. I attack it tomorrow.
