Surge protection question

Hello,
Just picked up my new to me 2015 Bullet 272BHS. This is my first RV (besides a pop-up a long time ago!). The trailer came with a Surge Guard 44750 surge protector.

My question is will this surge protector suffice or do I really need a better system like the Progressive Industries EMS-PT30C?

That is better than nothing, but not by much. All it does is protect against surge/spikes.
Does not protect against a bad pedestal, or a low voltage problem, which is just as bad as a surge.
Just bite the bullet and get a Progressive Industries unit. Lifetime warranty, and they have a 24/7 phone line tech available if you run into problems.

I agree with Steve! Get rid of that thing and get you a PI EMS unit that protects you against EVERYTHING!
