Boy do I feel stupid...

I bought my coach used, two years ago. I love the surround sound that I get when using my DVD player/amplifier that came with the coach. For the last two years I've said, "I sure wish the surround sound would work with my Sat TV reception." I finally decided to see if I could get it to work.

I was about to rip out my TV and see if I could run an RCA cable from the TV to the amplifier, when my son walked in and said, "why don't you just run a cable from the Dish receiver to the amplifier?"

Sure enough, my Dish receiver has RCA sound output jacks on the back, and my amplifier had an aux. sound input spot open. I hooked them up and whoala! Beautiful surround sound with my Sat TV reception.

The next challenge was to program my Dish remote to operate the amplifier. The listed program codes didn't work, so I had to scan all of the available codes before I found the right one. Took a little time but I eventually got it.

Like I said, do I feel stupid!

Craig -

Thanks so much for sharing! We've had our coach for about a month, and have been wrestling with the same question. You've saved us lots of time and energy!!!! We'll give your solution a shot next weekend.

We hope we can return the favor sometime soon.

Thanks again,
Natasha
