Swapping front and rear AC's

It occurred to me today that the front AC unit on our 3.5 year old coach has many more hours on it than the rear unit. Has anyone considered swapping them to even out the usage?

You know the old saying . . . . If it ain't broke don't mess with it. I would not even think of doing something like that.

The AC's in our 97 are on the noisy side anyway, so often we'll run the rear one so we don't have to listen to it running while up front - with the bonus we're evening out the wear and tear on both (as well as exercising them).

Our front unit died at 21 years of age and 98,000 miles. The rear unit stills cools nicely.

Hope yours last as long.

I would not fix that thing that is not broke.

I did something similar ... ran the rear at night to make the bedroom "cold" and left the front off while watching TV ... then ran the front when we actually went to bed... when it wasn't 100 degrees
