Each of my last MHs have had a toilet rinse hose, absent with the Aria. I miss the ability to hose down the inside when there is a brown or yellow 'problem', or low water pressure doesn't allow a good flush. Has anybody done a mod to add such a hose? (I didn't see an option for one on the Thetford web site.)
thanx

The Aria doesn't have a hose option. It relies on a controled flush cycle to squirt the water around the bowl.
I imagine that one could be installed. It'd be a standalone system though, not tied to the Aria in any way. You'd simply tee into the water line, add a 12 volt solenoid valve, connect a flushing hose to the valve's output, and wire up a switch of some sort. I had the Aria on my '04 Bus and now I have the Concerto on my '07. I prefer the Aria (although I do like the hose attachment of the Concerto) and will probably replace the Concerto with an Aria II some day but I'll then have to do the flushing hose mod too.

For Cruzer:
I've been looking at 12V solenoid valves and they're expensive. Plumbing in a kitchen faucet rinse hose right into the line going to the toilet would avoid the valve but might leak without being able to shut off the pressure.
A manual twist valve would work, but it'd be awkward to use.... any other ideas? (Maybe a link to 'cheap' valves?)
Thanx,

One way to help the 'problem' is to first add water to the bowl before use. Works well and prevents the need for the hose most of the time.

Thanks for your opinion, Rex. I do that every time. Doesn't do it for my toilet. Still needs a swish after urine. I've begun tossing in a cup of water after use until I can come up with a fix.

RV Wizard I respect your input, but if I could increase pressure I wouldn't have started this thread.

Over time the holes under the toilet rim will get clogged with calicun and stuff that will prevent a good rinsing of the bowl when you flush. I've replaced more than one toilet in homes just for that reason. Maybe just a new toilet would work for you?

Gary: Is it possible you inadvertently put the flush choice on economy? If not where the supply line comes through the floor install a tee, off the tee connect the rinse hose.Buy a high quality sprayer so you don't need a electrical connection for a relay. Rich

Our Hurricane came without a toilet sprayer, so we just had one put in. It is just a regular Kitchen sink sprayer connected into the toilet water supply with a "Tee" fitting. It may have been foolish, but we did not even put in a shutoff valve in the line. My logic was that there was not one in the main toilet line either. I do have a pressure regulator whenever we are on city water, and the water pump switch is very close to the bathroom. If there is a leakage problem, just turn off the water supply. We have had it installed for 4 years so far, with no problems. However, when you winterize, be sure to run antifreeze through the sprayer also. I forgot to the first year, and froze the spray head. found it out when we connected fresh water in the spring to de-winterize. Just went to Lowe's, and got a new one and screwed it in place. This has been one of the better upgrades we have made. Original cost was about 30-40 dollars for labor to install.

Another option, but one you wouldn't want to leave connected full time is to remove the spray head on your lavatory faucet and replace it with one with a male hose thread connector [readily available at hardware stores]. Then screw on a short section of garden hose long enough to reach the toilet. Then just use the faucet handle control to wash out the toilet.
