I have this macerator toilet that has been working for the 3 years I have owned my rv, but lately there is a problem. Seems the unit is showing that the tank is full and won't flush even though the black tanks indicates less than half full.

I can do the emergency flush by holding the button, but this is not a fix, only a work around. How can I fix this?

There is "an electronic" brain that will be "behind the toilet" that you probably need to replace. You can probably find some info if you do a search in the Monaco Forum with a post by either myself or SacsTC or Robin_M
Good Luck

The Tecma uses a sensor mounted on the outside of the black tank to determine water level. It is quite possible that this isn't functioning properly and is falsely indicating a full condition.

I'm not sure where it is on your RV, but if you can find it, you might check for lose connections. I don't know exactly how the sensor works, but maybe it is as simple as "crud" accumulated inside the tank that is fooling the sensor and making it think it is full. Flushing the tank might help.

Or have it tested by a dealer to see if it is the computer or the sensor that is malfunctioning.
