Checked all system before we left home , no problems. 200 miles down the road the toilet decides to have water spewing issues. It's a Thetford Aria deluxe II. The water is coming out from the back of the unit when flushed. I can't even get to the back to see where it's coming from or what might be broken without removing the whole unit. To far from home to be without facilities. A bath towel is working for now, but I was wondering if anyone has had issues with this unit. It's a 2008 coach. I suspect from the parts catalog it might be the water solenoid valve leaking? Thanks for any input ahead of time!

Do you have the toilet spray nozzle connected to the back of the toilet? Like the one you pull out for the kitchen sink.

Pulling the toilet for inspection is pretty simple. Allot easier then pulling one in the stick home.

Do you have a mirror ? Works wonders for looking behind stuff!

Get a mechanics mirror and a light. Throw a towel over the toilet, get on your knees, hug it and have a look.

Does it leak all the time ?
Possibly a leaking supply line or the valve itself...snug up the hose clamps.

Only when flushing? Possiby the valve or the connection of the valve to the toilet or the valve to the spray nozzle if equipped.

The entire valve assembly can be removed/replaced without breaking the seal of the bowl to the floor, just requires some patience, dexterity and a few tools.

been down that road before.

Had to replace that valve on mine, CW sold the part, and it was only about an hours to do the job. Mine had cracked form poor winterization.

When mine broke Thetford stayed right on top of it until I had it fixed. I had the part in three days. Good people.

Glad to hear Thetford is so helpful. Even though its all the same company any help from Norcold is like finding hen's teeth. I've had two problems with my 4-dr Norcold frig, the last one has to do with their so-called Recall fix and each time told to take it to a dealer. With the help of the RV Forums I was able to fix both problems myself saving a 90 mile one-way drive.

FYI Thetford called early this morning, part available, $20.63 with shipping, said about a week to get to me! Can't ask for better than that.

Might also check a well stocked local RV parts store. I found all I needed at a supplier in Myrtle Beach, just south of the airport. (after ordering the same parts from Thetford. just didn't want to to wait.)
