Thetford traveler toilet

So the toilet started rocking last time out, and its on my list for today.

I removed it by removing plastic cowl that surrounds the base, then removed the 4 nuts that hold it to the floor. I cut the pex water supply and installed a shutoff valve, then removed the toilet.

The plastic ring that attaches to the floor is broken, the cause of my toidy-wobble.

I have a couple of questions for the experts:

1: There appears to be some sort of foam gasket instead of the traditional wax ring you'd see on a residential unit. Can I use a wax ring when I re-install or do I need to get one of these gaskets?

2: Is the mounting ring glued to the black tank, or is it dry-fit? If it's glued, how to R&R?

Thanks!

PS: I said 'experts' above, you don't need to be licensed, expert, or even 'proper' to reply to my threads. I only ask that you not insult me. And to those who would advise me to take my coach to a qualified professional to have my crapper de-wobbled: No.

I answered this one for myself. There appears to be a foam gasket for RV toilets that is required. Dunno of lowes will have that one.

Seems to me that there may be some threads out there that may even have pics in regard to this process.
