I've had a good experience with the Tire Sentry system on our existing coach, but am buying a new coach and considering the Smartire system. I've also heard that the sensors go out pretty regularly.

Can aynone give me any guidance on which of these two tire pressure monitoring systems is the best considering their cost?

Thanks in advance.

I installed Smartires on my previous motorhome when I replaced the tires. More expensive, but inside the tire, couldn't be messed with, etc. I ran for several years with no problems. I now have the externally mounted sensors, as did not require removing tire. They work well also, but I suppose are subject to vandlism.
I just read a horror story about Smartire monitors that came loose inside the tire and caused damage, supposedly because they were not mounted properly. If you go with them, make sure you have an installer who is familiar with the correct installation proceedures.
