Toilet pressure
The Sealand toilet in my MH has barely enough water pressure to "move things along" if you know what I mean. This is especially true when using the water pump. The pressure in both the bowl and the sprayer is just very low.
I haven't taken it apart yet but is there anywhere in the plumbing that a restriction might build over time? I did find sand in the faucet filters that restricted flow but I don't know if there is a similar filter in the toilet feed. I did clean the filter at the pump but it was unrestricted.

Has the pressure decreased from what it was? If so it could be the valve that is activated by the pedal. The toilet is easy to disassemble and clean. There could be calcium deposits clogging things up.

Thanks John. I was headed down that road and was looking for validation I guess.
I just got this MH and I think it had been sitting for a bit. It does seem to be down on pressure since I got it home. I also want to replace the seal that keeps water in teh bowl as it leaks
Best regards
Larry

Same problem
If I'm on park water and they have low pressure I will turn the pump on as needed. Flushing or showering is definately an 'as needed' situation.
Add water to the bowl before you use it. They don't flush like a residential toilet.
There is a flow limiter on the sprayer. I drilled a bigger hole in it to get a better spray.
I had the low flow probem on every faucet in my rig. I replaced the aerators and the flow increased 100%. I found sand in every one of them. Previous owner had removed the water filter media.

No filter other than the filter at the water pump. I did take that apart and it was clean
I am going to take the toilet out and see about replacing seals and checking valves. I do put water in the bowl before using but the bowl will slowly drain.

Before you take the toilet out, see if you can disconnect the water feed to it and see how the flow it at that point. If it is not good to the toilet, there is no reason to remove it.

My 2 cents, sounds like you need a new toilet. By the time you buy a repair kit, try to clean the valve and mess with it you can buy a new one. Camping world had them on sale for $129 ceramic models. Just make sure the water feed is the same so you don't have to mess with that.

Before you start tearing things apart maybe the ball seal needs some cleaning, check this out.

If the water slowly drains out you do need to disassemble and clean the seal. Their are two ball seals, one has an extra hole in it for the rim rinse. The ones I have taken apart could be cleaned up, but in both cases I bought new seals and then cleaned up the old seals and kept as spares. If you can't find a seal with the hole in it and you need it, you can use the old seal as a template and drill a hole in the new one. Looks intimidating, but it is very easy to do.

So what does he do after buying a new toilet and the water getting to the toilet is still no good.

I hadn't thought about cleaning/ lubricating the ball seal. I think the motor home may have sat unused for a bit and things like that do get dry and stiff. I have a tube of o-ring silicone lubricant that I use on the swimming pool filter pump parts at home. I'll try to clean and lubricate that. I also will disconnect the water feed and see what kind of flow I have going into the unit before I take it out and apart.
Thanks for all the suggestions

o-ring lube
I used silicon pool filter lube and it only worked for a few days. I think the seal kit can be found on eBay for around $30. It's easy enough to change but you'll want to have some rubber gloves. I replaced my seal about 10 months ago and haven't had a problem since.
Once you get the bowl off of the pedestal it's easy to check the flow to the valve and so on.
Installing a new toilet is not that hard either, but that 129 price doesn't include the sprayer. The sprayer with the (required) vacume breaker is another 50. Maybe more.
Did you check the screen on your city water connection? Lots of people get hose washers with filter screens built in. Algae, rust, bugs, misc. munge in the screen would definitely effect your flow.

Good idea, but he said it was also slow with the pump, which leads me to think it is either the feed to the toilet or the toilet itself.
