toilet seeps at base

I have a 2010 sunseeker class c and every so often I see a small leak coming from the right side base of the toilet. The hose behind seems to be dry. It doesn't do it all the time which is the confusing part. Could the seal be bad so soon? I tried tightening the screws but they are tight already. Is the seal an easy job to r&r ?

Generally, there's a foam rubber gasket under there. If you unbolt the toilet from the floor, you can lift it up without having to remove the lines (usually) and easily replace the gasket. It's possible the flange is not level.

Welcome to IRV2. What brand and model do you have ? I have a Sealand and it has a metal band on it that has to be the correct tightness to hold water.

A timely question. Last evening DW told me she is tired of having to clean around the toilet. Years ago we added an elevation ring/base (or whatever it's called) under the toilet, and that has worked very well. Now we have occasion seepage (not really enough to be called leakage) along the top of the base....even when we are parked for an extended time (weeks). Not sure at what level the seal lies and we're leaving tomorrow for Spring break with the Mouse. We (I) may have to do cleaning until we get home.

Yes, it's an easy job to repair, just tight quarters on your knees, which isn't a lot of fun....
I would fold up some dry toilet paper and methodically touch the paper to the line and valve during and after flushing (when the supply line and valves are pressurized) to be certain you don't have a slow leak. I'd do this a few times. Any water, even a very small amount, will show on the TP. Also, make sure you don't have a sweating problem, where a little water forms on the outside of the bowl and drips onto the floor. Otherwise, I'm sorry to say, you'll have to pull the toilet and check the gasket/ring. I've been there, and I didn't like it much, but it's not that hard to fix.... Welcome to the forum, and Good luck.
