New to us MH came with a KVH TrackVision SF satellite antenna dome. It also has a Direct TV digital receiver.
My first question is, can I swap the Direct box for a Dish Network box and can that box be an HD box. I ask this because we have Dish Network HD in the house and would like to just move a receiver into the MH when we travel. Is it as simple as plug in and go? We have a dual HD receiver with DVR which would in theory work both the front and rear TV. I plan on upgrading the coach with 2 HD flat screens.
Second question, the manual for the TrackVision it shows a switch plate with a power button, status LED light and a Sat Select Button. I haven’t seen that switch yet although haven’t dug too deeply for it. Is there a “usual location” a person would look for the switch plate? I did locate a switch but it doesn’t look like the one in the manual. Its in the compartment with all the audio video stuff but simply a white plate with one small push button and a LED lamp. Looks completely different than the one in the manual. I was thinking it was a switch for a regular antenna amplifier but not sure.

On my Revolution, it is in the cabinet with the tank readouts, EMS, & inverter remote. Just above the door to the right. I have played around with mine, but I don't have it working yet. I talked with KVH, & they told me to play around with the dish setup for Direct TV. An older box will probably easier to setup. I don't think that you will get HD with this unit.

Hope this helps

The tracvision in our Newmar came with docs for Direct TV and we have Dish. We use a converter from the house and in spite of the fact Dish Tech Support is now in Bombay we've had fairly good luck.
The switch/LED configuration you describe sounds like what we have.
Sorry, can't help with the HD question.
