I recently had to replace the 4 Trojan T 105 batteries in my RV. What a shock, locally they are asking $178.00 ea.

There is a Forklift sales/battery shop in my town, I check with them to see if they had something to replace the T 105's with. They sell Deka batteries and the GC15G ($108.95) and the GC25G (slightly greater capacity for $122.95) are the direct replacements. They are a US made battery and have their own EPA approved Lead foundry. 1 year unconditional and years 2 & 3 pro rated warranty.

In listing the specifications they will be in this order- Trojan T 105/Deka GC15G/Deka GC25G

20 Rate AH-225/215/235, 5 Rate AH- 185/178 (6hr)/na, Capacity @ 25 Amps- 447/na/488, Capacity @75 Amps- 115/115/132, Weight in #- 62/63/67. As you can see the GC 15G is the essentially the same as the T 105 and the GC25G has a slightly greater capacity. The weights are another interesting factor, I am sure that the GC25G at 5# heavier isn't in the plastic case, it is in the amount of lead. I am assuming that relates to thicker (sturdier) plates.

I then bought 4 if the GC25G batteries which relates to a $220.00 saving. I will see in the future if they are as good as they look.

If you are looking to buy RV batteries in the near future I would check both of them out.

If I had the coins I'd buy these Deka batteries. That is a lot of amperage.

Check with your local Golf Course Shops. Some of them sell the Trojan's at a reasonable price. Usually cheaper then a regular battery supplier.

I replaced 6 batteries. Trojan T-105s were recommended by another company, at the FMCA rally. I'm in south Georgia, and found the closest "dealer" was Tampa, FL. Anyway, they said they had a much nearer location, which was a Golf Cart business here in town. (Pop. 18K) I was quoted $89 per. When I told them I wanted 6, they said there was a discount for 6 or more. My whole bill came to just over $400.

You prices in ID sound a little like a rip-off to me.

I'm very satisfied with the T-105 battery.

You'd have to add a Tag Axle to carry the extra weight! ..... and a turbo charger to get up the hills.
That's 185 lbs/cell and 1110 lbs for a 12v battery.
