I would suggest you check the amperage of the start up and the short period of running current and compare it to the data tag. Also check the 120 vac at the compressor start relay when the compressor stops running. If you still have voltage at the compressor relay then everything ahead of the compressor seems to be OK up to this point and you have a relay, overload or compressor issue. Let us know what you find.
