Vacuflush Toilet help

When we flush the toilet it makes what I think is the normal noise as the pump cycles but then it makes a loud banging noise about 5 or 6 big knocks. Anyone experience this and have a fix?

2016 Holiday Rambler Vacationer 37bh

Thanks,
Andrew

You didn't give which model of Vacuflush Toilet you have, here are links to two different models:

http://www.southerncalmarine.com/pro...ies-manual.pdf

Neither mention a knocking noise. Have you accounted for all passengers? Could someone have been sucked down into the black tank and wants out?

1st... What exactly is your toilet manufacturer and model??
2nd..What vacuum pump and vacuum tank do you have???
3rd.. Watch the vacuum pump while someone flyshes the toilet, see if You can see any movement either the pump or the sewer lines both in comming to the tank and out go to the black tank.
4... WARNING !!! BE SURE to take pic's of everything (including all the wiring connections) BEFORE you try to remove tank assembly...
5... With your "newer" unit suspect that the mounting screws holding the tank down may have backed out allowing the tank to flop around.
6... The vacuum system toilet & vacuum pump/duckbills) should be maintained every 2 to 3 years, so may be past due.

On our vacuum pump the pump motor had stripped out one of the mounting bolts (top bolt,3 bolt design)
I replaced the motor with the "Improved" 4 bolt mounting kit & went ahead and did the full meal deal maintenance (bellows/"O" rings/duck bills) while I had the vacuum tank out.

It is a Sealand by Dometic 500 plus series, 706 model vacuflush.

Hmm the "banging" you are hearing may be the motor to bellows linkage on the vacuum pump...or one of the sewer lines are flopping around..

You will have to watch it while someone flushes the toilet

It could also be the interim vacuum chamber 'oil-canning' No one can really predict, get eyes on the 'hidden' parts when someone flushes. If you're lucky, it can be fixed with a zip-tie to stop a moving piece of plumbing.
