Vacuflush toilet pump

Own 2012 36D Southwind by Fleetwood. The Vacuflush system pump will kick on and off when not in use. No water is leaking from toilet. Suggested by Dometic that it could be duck bills. Bought necessary parts but can not find access to vacuum generator. Anyone else had this problem?

Thankfully, we have not had any problems with our VacuFlush toilet. Have you called Fleetwood customer service? They can probably tell you where the pump is located, and send diagrams of your plumbing system. Good luck!

Emails sometimes get lost. Their # is 800-322-8216 if you need to call.

The "duckbill" valves mentioned are usually found on both ends of the vacuum pump.

Good system, had several different boats using it, but did have to replace the valves occasionally. Real easy job. Just make sure you watch what direction they point when removed to replace correctly.

Thanks, but this unit is not on a boat. We know where it is in the system from owners manual, but we can't find the system on the rv. The underneath is completely enclosed except for the fuel tank.

Bob, We have a 2013 Bounder 35K with this system. When I first got it it had a vacuum leak. It took the dealer 3 tries, and finally their head tech did the job. He told me the pump motor was installed at a "cocked angle", so he realigned it, re-installed it properly and we haven't had any issues since. I can turn the power off, come back two weeks later, and it still maintains a vacuum. When we're camping for a couple week stretch it won't cycle at all. Problem solved! Oh, and in my Bounder, the pump is located in the last Passenger side hold, behind a panel.

Good Luck!

Thanks for your info. When we re-install the pump will make sure it is aligned. We are currently without facility as the bellows blew out several days ago and waiting for parts. They turned to crystal from hard water. Hopefully the new bellows will cure our problem. (Have bought a water softener to help this situation) We have done everything else. ie changes duck bills, check for line leaks etc.

Well that didn't work to stop leak either. We have exhausted all leads. Anyone else out there have a suggestion?
