What preferences or experiences do you have with roof vent covers? I'm looking at replacing a broken Maxx Air over a manual vent opening and adding a second cover over a Fantastic Fan. The Aero-Flo claims lower profile, but doesn't give height or mounting method. If it's lower, will it allow the vent to open all the way?

I put a Maxx Air with fan and thermostat over my manual vent, and have been very happy with it. This vent is near the end of the trailer, and I installed a Window maxx cover over the window at the front of the trailer, so it makes for a nice through breeze.

I've got both on my roof. No real difference with the AeroFlo, about the same height as MaxxAir, but AeroFlo does open easily to let you get old leaves/bugs/debris cleaned out. AeroFlo works well with my Fantastic fan in exhaust mode.

Ken:

I also have two Areo Flo mounted on the roof and I find that it is very convienient to open for cleaning debris out. The amount that the vent opens now is more than enough for good ventilation. I made sure to mount the Aero Flo in such a position (front to back) as to maximize the amount the vent opens.

I will add my endorsement to the AeroFlo covers. No, they don't allow you to open the vent all the way, but about 60-70%, which is enough. I have 3 on our trailer, 2 over Fantastic Fans, which I installed last year, and 1 over the bed that was just installed this year. The obvious advantage is being able to leave the vents open in inclimate weather, as well as being easy to open to clean out any debris that may get into them (to date, I've not had to do that).
