We've been thinking about possibly adding one of those combination washer/dryers to our coach. I've read many comments about the Splendide models.
I've just learned about Pinnacle brand washer/dryers. They are about $300.00 cheaper than Splendide.
Anybody know anything about them?

We have the Splendide Ariston model stacked W/D and love them. Both can be run at the same time which reduces the time to do laundry. I'd go the same route again.

jimkate,
If you have room to stack, go with the new 2010 Ariston models. DW loves them (15lb washer, stainless tubs, no complaining to me)

If you get a combo washer/dryer unit, make sure you get a vented model. The vent-less take forever and a day to dry. The Spendide Combo has a slightly higher load volume and the spin cycle is 1200RPM (allows for faster drying). In the separate units you can even get a Splendide that is 1400RPM.
There is something to be said for a combo verses separate types. You can put a load in and leave, when you get back, it will be washed and dried. In the separate units, you will have to hang out to put it in the dryer. I would still prefer the separates, but it depends on your lifestyle and how you do your laundry.

We have a set of Whirlpool stackable in our MH and we prefer that arrangement--comes in handy when there are several loads to do. One suggestion regardless of which model(s) you settle on is to get a set of replacement belts and keep them on hand. When we had a belt problem with our washer the Whirlpool guy who came to work on it did not routinely carry the replacement belts and it would take at least a week for him to get one. Luckily our belt had just come off the pulley and wasn't broken.

We have the stackable Whirlpool washer and dryer(vented) and really like them. As another post mentioned you can wash and dry at the same time reducing laundry time. The washer doesn't seem to use alot of water but cloths come out clean. Thanks for the tip about the belts.

But nobody has tried the Pinnacle brand? Several RV supply houses are selling them now and specs seem similar to Splendide.
I wonder how the Pinnacle customer support is. Splendide (Westland Sales in the USA) is outstanding - they will tak you through troubleshooting on the phone and deliver parts in just a couple days.

Pinnacle used to be called Majestic. We have a Majestic combo unit that is externally vented. It works great and we have had zero issues in 4 years. It drys clothes so fast that DW has to keep an eye on them. Majestic was also serviced by Sears which makes getting repairs easy if needed.
