Washer/Dryer Combo units

Its been almost a full year since we purchased our current fifth wheel RV which we plan to start fulltiming in. DW really doesn't like laundry mats (I really don't blame her for that) so I had the dealership install a Splendide combo in our rig. She hasn't been very pleased with the results as everything comes out wrinkled even to the point of getting rid of the Splendide and recovering a closet.
Now I'm certainly not going to pretend to know much about laundry but I would like to hear any input from other users out there and what they have done to overcome this issue.

My wife has the same complaint. She says it's because the drum is so small that the clothes can't spread out as they dry.

For us, it's a small price to pay for not having to spend time and money in a laundromat ! We would never have another RV without a W/D.

If you overload it you will get more wrinkles.

We have found that smaller load and taking cloths out between wash and dry cycle and fluffing up. Comes out fine. A couple of items of my wife's, not ordinary fabrics, she takes out while still a little damp and hangs up. We regularly spend two-three months away at a time, no problem.

Small loads will help prevent wrinkling.

If larger load, stop the machine after the last spin cycle (before drying starts) and shake the clothes out and throw them back in for drying.

Learning to live with the smaller combo washer/dryer will increase you utility with the unit. I find if I keep the load small, I can throw a few things in before bed, then the next day it's ready to be folded and put away. ... or, just wear it again!

Now that we've learned how to use out combo, the wife says she'd never be without one.

We had the combo unit in our last motor home. Small loads is the key. We would do at least one load a day, sometimes two...

A stacked W/D was a prerequisite for this motor home. Huge difference. If your closet area where you put the combo is large enough, i highly recommend going to two separate units.

We have a stacked W/D and it is faster then single unit. However the key with any dryer is to keep the loads small and take the clothes out as soon as it stops, if possible. shake them out to minimize wrinkles.

Small loads and a large amount of patience. It takes a day to do a weeks worth of warm weather laundry, longer if you were wearing jeans the week before. Don't wash anything large in it like a bedspread. Diane never uses pay laundromats except when she absolutely has to wash a bedspread (like after I had a coffee spill on it, don't ask), so it works for us quite well.

Everyone's hit the nail on the head. Small loads & shake out contents between wash & dry will go a long way to preventing wrinkles. I also keep the dry time to as short as possible. Over drying just sets in any creases.
